My friend Bree keeps telling me that we need to have a blog. I'm not exactly sure WHY she keeps insisting on this undertaking, but whenever she takes it upon herself to do so, she flatters me until I blush. I suspect this is why I am caving to her demands.
Don't worry. This blog will be entertaining. Snappy, peppy, energetic, etc. I don't feel like there's a lot to write about, but I think I have a knack for making nothing pretty interesting. At the very minimum, it will keep you informed of what's going on in Rhett's and my life.
First off, Rhett has settled on a major. Deaf Studies. not "Death" studies (ha ha!). He's been doing great in his biology exams, and has developed x-ray hearing, which makes listening to college lectures somewhat confusing. Last week, he heard a conversation from four miles away about a secret bank heist. Keep watching the news!
Also, finally got the new Civic registered. It's been about a month and a half since we bought the car, and we've been driving on expired plates for about 15 days, but it finally got done! You would not believe the maze of red tape and paperwork. Why does everything take three times as long as it should? Oh, and it was also very expensive. Is this just because it had an out-of-state license, or do all car registrations cost arms and legs? Too bad the Hero Guild keeps me from using my super strength to overpower DMV employees. (p.s. we have no pictures of our Civic. This one was pirated off the internet. Same color though...)
Upcoming plans: Rhett's brother Tyler is letting us come visit him and his wife Hannah in California. We'll get to see our new nephew Ryder, and do some fun California-type things. More later!
